My Approach
About Me

Hi! My name is Kayla. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and love most things about it (though the icy winters still aren’t my favorite). I earned my undergraduate degree from Carroll University and my master’s in Community Counseling from UW–Whitewater.

I found my way into becoming a therapist somewhat by accident after taking a job at a local behavioral health hospital—and quickly discovered how much I love helping people navigate life’s challenges. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning and growing alongside my clients.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me baking, cooking, or spending time outdoors with my dogs and my sons.

If you ever feel unsafe or are in need of immediate support, please call your local emergency number (911), go to the nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis hotline like 988 or your local county crisis support. While I can support you in therapy, I do not provide emergency care — and you deserve someone who can be there for you right away.
